Clarence “Clancy”
Huslig, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was
born September 23, 1917 in Parkersburg, Iowa to Maurice and Mary (Starzer)
Huslig. He was united in marriage on June 21, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Florence
Emogene Appleby.
Clancy owned and operated a dental laboratory appliance business and Kirk's Feed
and Seed. He served on the Pioneer Library Board, the Vestry of St. Michael's
Episcopal Church and was a former member of the Norman Rotary Club. He enjoyed
woodworking and making jewelry. He made many beautiful items for the church as
well as a rocking horse for the nursery.
Clancy is survived by his wife, Emogene of the home and their family by choice;
Tom and EAnn Robinson and their children.
He is preceded in death by his
parents and sister, Earnestine Huslig Coffey.
Graveside services will be held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012 at
I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Norman.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1601 W. Imhoff Rd., Norman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. Arrangements for Clancy and his family have been placed in the care of the Vice Family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
