Family and friends mourn the loss of Robert Cody Green, deceased September 13, 2011. Cody was born March 3, 1982 in Norman.
He was an all district defensive end for Norman High
School's football team and graduated in 2001. After attending Oklahoma City
Community College, Cody joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard, 45th Infantry
Division. He was a decorated soldier, serving honorably in Operation Enduring
Freedom in Afghanistan from 2002-2003. He was activated again and served in New
Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Cody was preceded in death by grandparents Tommie and Dorothy Cheatham of
Oklahoma City and O'Neal and Ruth Green of Purcell.
Cody is survived by his mother, Sara Cheatham Green; father, Dale Green; and
stepmother, Gayle Barrett, all of Norman; his brother, Luke and sister-in-law
Amanda of Oklahoma City; his brother Jason, brother Josh Guinn and sister-in-law
Holly, all of Norman.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the Chapel of
the Havenbrook Funeral Home with
