Freeman, Marian F.,
74, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma.
She was born
February 14, 1937 in Norman, Oklahoma to Edward and Aurelia Jo (Herman) Looney.
Marian graduated from Norman High School in 1955 and the University of Oklahoma
in 1959 with a business education degree. She was united in marriage on August
16, 1958 in Norman, OK to William Edward Freeman.
Marian was an accountant for the State of Oklahoma for 20 years retiring in
2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norman. Marian enjoyed
reading, word puzzles and collecting Boyd Bears and Precious Moments. She was
devoted to taking care of her mother and enjoyed spending time with her family
and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Freeman of the home; her mother, Jo Looney of
Norman; one son, Mike Freeman of Norman; one daughter, Janet Rose and husband
Dave of Yukon, OK; one brother, Jim Looney and wife Connie of Plano, TX; and
three grandchildren, Matthew Ledford, Kelsey Ledford and Katelyn Ledford all of
Shawnee, OK.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ed Looney.
Visitation will be held 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday,
January 19, 2012 in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with interment
following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of
Norman. Arrangements for Marian and her family were placed in the care
of the Vice Family at Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
