DUMAS, Clara Mae, 97, of Norman, Ok passed away at her home, August 9, 2016.Clara was born on December 2, 1918 in Harper County, OK to Ralph and Blanch Stong. Clara grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School. She also graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a master’s degree in fine arts. Clara was a former professor at the University of Oklahoma and a member of the alumni association. She enjoyed archaeology, bottle digging, traveling with her husband, her fish and bonsai plants. Clara was also a former member of the Garden Club and the Firehouse Art Museum.
Clara was survived by her daughters: Sylvia Dumas of Norman, Linda Dumas of Bush, LA; three grandchildren: Andrea Peevy, Tiffany Billiot and Chaz Fowler and two great grandchildren: Rachael Dalgo and Leah Peevy.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, William A. Dumas and two brothers.
Graveside
services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman, OK. Services are under the care of
Havenbrook Funeral Home.
