De Armon, James Dru
was born February 14, 1976 at Mercy Hospital in OKC. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
De Armon, Dru was the youngest of six children. He attended Kemper Military
Acadamy for several years. He then graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy in
Port Gibson, Miss. He went on to get his culinary degree in Scottsdale, Arizona
at the Le Cordon Bleu. He then moved to Dallas where he worked at many
exclusive restaurants including The Mansion on Turtle Creek, The French Room at
the Adolphus and many more. He received the certificate of achievement for
outstanding excellence. He recently moved to Norman to be near his family.
Dru had a passion for the culinary arts and was a very talented chef. His
family and friends always enjoyed his food creations. He loved the OU Sooners
and OKC Thunder basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends
and loved to make everyone laugh.
Dru is preceded in death by his father, Jack De Armon.
He is survived by his
mother, JoAnna De Armon; his siblings, Sherri De Armon, Michelle De Armon and
Jack De Armon, Jr. and wife Angela all of Norman, Todd De Armon of Edmond, and
Michael De Armon and wife Shari of Springfield, MO; and nieces and nephews,
Michael, Sheridan and Allie Jones, Jordan and Alexis De Armon, Emma and Jack
Bucholz all of Norman, and Samantha and Nicholas De Armon of Springfield, MO.
Dru will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Services will be private with interment
following in the I.O.O.F. cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook
Funeral Home.
