Norma J. Craig, 92, of Norman,
Oklahoma passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
She was born November 22, 1921 in Eagletown, Oklahoma to Johnnie and Ethel
(Carter) Brummett. Norma married Harold on February 23, 1952 in Oklahoma City

Norma grew up in southeastern Oklahoma and was inspired by her father telling
her “there was nothing she could not do”. With her incredible work ethic she
earned a degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1944 and had a long career as
a Registered Dietician. She created new programs that targeted the health of
women and children in rural Oklahoma and served as President of the Oklahoma
State Dietetic Association. She made a difference in the lives of thousands
throughout her career.
She had a curious mind and was always reading and trying to learn new things and
keep abreast of current events. She looked forward to working in her vegetable
garden and loved nature. She enjoyed music and especially by her favorite
artist, Nat King Cole. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family,
who always felt loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Warland and Vandon.
