Thomas Joseph
“T.J.” Cotrone, 36, of Norman passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He was born
November 21, 1977 in Queens, New York to Thomas Joseph, Cotrone, Sr. and Deborah
Lynn Carlisle.
T.J., a Norman High School graduate, received an Associate Degree in Law
Enforcement before becoming a Norman Police Officer and continued on with Walen
Company as a security officer. T.J. enjoyed spending his time with family and
friends tubing with his boat or shooting guns. He learned how to make furniture
and was constantly busy making his next masterpiece. T.J., also loved staying
fit, body building and playing sports, especially softball. Most of all, T.J.
enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball teams and was dedicated to being a father.
He will be remembered by his family for his dry sense of humor and how he
enjoyed playing practical jokes. T.J. was a dedicated friend and considered his
friends, family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shorty Carlisle and Dorothy and
Bill Wilson.
T.J. is survived by his father, Tom Cotrone, Sr. and mother,
Deborah Carlisle; his son, Tyler Cotrone; two brothers, Joe Cotrone and Kevin
Cotrone; grandfather, Pete Carlisle; three aunts, Janice Lowe and her husband
Jim of NY, Angela Macri and her husband Phil of NY, and Gayle Owens and her
husband Erick of TX; and many cousins and many, many friends.
Visitation for T.J. will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014
at the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman with the family
present to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
A celebration of life service for T.J. will begin at 10:00 a.m.., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment following at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman.
