Ashby, Dennie Lorraine Duvall Phillips, 81, joined her Heavenly Father on January 16, 2015. 

Dennie was born July 9, 1933 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Charles Frederick and Mable (Stacy) Duvall.  Dennie is a graduate of Hulbert High School and attended the University of Oklahoma.  She began working at Tahlequah Abstract and Title Company as a young lady and after moving to Norman, she then worked for American First Abstract and Title Company for 28 years, retiring on December 31, 1999.  Dennie enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling throughout all of the 50 states as well as Canada and Mexico. 

She was preceded in death by an unborn child and a sister Wanda Duvall. 

She leaves cherished memories with her husband of 35 ½ years, Thomas Ashby; children, Denniece Phillips, Roger Ashby, and Sherri Kovach; grandchildren, Crystal VanDam, Michelle Milne, Michael Kovach; 2 sisters, Beverly Randolph and Phyllis Lay;  3 brothers, William Charles Duvall, Willard Carl Duvall, and David Lyle Duvall; and 6 great grandchildren, Monique Denski, Alexis Denski, Brayden Milne, Genevieve Milne, Ava Rose Kovach, and Landon Kovach.

Visitation will be 9am-8pm Monday at Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Services to celebrate her life will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Crosspointe Church, 2601 24th Ave. SE in Norman with interment to follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman. 

Memorial donations in Dennie Ashby’s name may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
