Ruby Virginia “Jenny” Ramsey age 71 of Noble passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2105 at Norman Regional Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1944 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was the 2nd child of five children born to Samuel Hardin Deskin and Ethel Lurlene (Bennett) Deskin. Jenny grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School in 1962. Before graduating that same year she married James “Jim” Lee Ramsey on April 27, 1962 in Lexington. Jenny and Jim together raised one daughter Angela. She worked as homemaker while Angela was growing up and later went to work for Walmart. For the past 33 years she has been employed by Walmart in Norman where she made many friends. Jenny attended the Lexington Family Worship Center for many years with her mother. She and Jim enjoyed fishing and boating together. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Gus. She loved holidays and enjoyed decorating her home for all the holidays especially Halloween and Christmas. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Sam Deskin and Ethel Deskin Page; Three brothers, Donald, Bobby and Jimmy Lynn Deskin; Mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Martha Ramsey; Two brothers-in-law, Buddy and Darrell Ramsey; One sister-in-law, Laura Ramsey Moore; One nephew, James Logan;
She is survived by: Husband, Jimmy Ramsey of the home in Noble; One daughter, Angela Drabik of Hutto, Texas; One grandson, Gus Drabik of Round Rock, Texas; One sister, Carolyn Deutsch and husband Melvin of Austin, Texas; four sisters-in-law, Donna Deskin of Lexington, Marketa Ille and husband Jerry of Lexington, Sherry Logan and husband Mike of Elk City, Julie Deskin of Moore; Also several nieces, nephews and cousins;
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
