Wadley's Funeral Service

Cleatus Hill, 91, died May 11, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thurs., May 15, at the Noble Church of the Nazarene.
Interment will follow at the Noble IOOF Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Cleatus was born February 12, 1923 in Tribbey to Ben & Lizzie (Smith) Hill. He was raised and attended school in the Tribbey/Lexington area. Cleatus honorably served in the United States Navy during World War II. On June 22, 1943, he and Stella "Jerry" Chapman were united in marriage. Cleatus worked as a truck driver, retiring from Roadway Express after 40 years of service. In 1991, he and Jerry moved to Lexington from Carthage, Texas. Cleatus loved horses, and enjoyed trail riding and trading. He started his own "Trail Riding for Christ", and always worked for the church.

Cleatus is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jerry; great grandson, Landon Newlin; and siblings, Kenton, Elmer, Mildred, Thelma, Curtis, Bo, and JT.

Survivors include his son, Tony Hill and wife, Tammy; daughter, Cleata Chamberlain and husband, Dan; grandchildren, Jennifer Newlin and husband, Curt, Beth Williamson and husband, Ronny, Randi Cross and husband, Lukas, Stephen Chamberlain and wife, Jody, Joshua Hill and wife, Sharon, Zack Conley; great grandchildren, Lindsey Simmons and husband, Matt, Jill Alderman and husband, Corey, Lacey Newlin, Haley Vanderlinden, Lane Newlin, Reagan Chamberlain, Rylee Chamberlain, Ryan Chamberlain, Taylor Cross; great-great grandson, Samuel Simmons; sisters, Violet Hill and Voncille Harmon, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial Contributions may also be made to the Noble Church of the Nazarene.
