Barbara Hickey, age 57 of Norman, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Norman Regional Hospital.

Barbara Ann Jay was born May 28, 1957 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was raised in Oklahoma City by her grandmother, Bessie Allen. Barbara married at a young age, marring a pastor named Mike Hickey. To this union three children were born son, Mike and daughters, Paula and Angela. They were called to churches in Nevada and Georgia before settling back in Oklahoma. Barbara worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. She loved her children and spoiling her grandchildren. They were her “world” and she looked forward to trips to the corner store with them to get a coca cola and a candy bar. Barbara had a strong heart and was a ‘mother’ to many. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her Grandmother, Bessie Allen; Her granddad, Mike Hickey; Nephew, Martin Woods and Son-in-law, Donny Davis.

Barbara leaves behind: Her daughters, Paula Stanford and husband Ryan of Lexington and Angela Loyd of Norman; Her son, Mike Hickey of Norman; Sisters, Carolyn Woods and Husband Donnie and Edna Varnell and husband Ronnie, all of OKC; Her brother, Robert Camren of OKC; 10 grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan, Madi, Hunter, Anna, Braydon, Walter, Nathaniel, Kayla and Aubrey and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Burial will follow at the Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
