Tim Garver, age 58 of Lexington, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Norman Regional Hospital.
Timothy Lee Garver was born December 8, 1958 in Norman, the oldest of 2 children born to Charles Edward and Edell Marie (Harris) Garver. He was raised in Norman and attended Norman Schools, graduating in 1977. On November 7, 1980, Tim married the love of his life and his best friend, Pamela Jane Claunch. They made their home in Lexington where together they raised 2 sons, Kevin and Charlie. Tim first worked as a custodian for Security National Bank. He then worked as the transportation supervisor for Tyler & Simpson Co in the retail division, and later for the MBM Corporation in the same capacity, until illness forced him to retire. Tim would tell you that his greatest accomplishment was his family, and he found great joy in being a husband, father and Papa! He enjoyed spending time at stock shows and actively participated in with his grandkids, showing cattle and pigs. He loved spending time in his garden, teaching his granddaughters all that he could. He never missed an opportunity to go fishing with his boys and was willing to play anyone willing in a good competitive game of cards or dominos. He was a man of great faith and a member of the First Baptist Church in Norman. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His father, Charles Edward Garver.
Tim leaves behind: His wife, Pam Garver of the home; His boys, Kevin Garver and wife Randi of Lexington and Charlie Garver and wife Julie of Purcell; His mother, Marie Garver of Norman; Sister, Cindy Steffensen and husband Kim of Norman; 4 grandchildren, Jentri, Cale, Cote and Jace and A host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Lexington.
Burial will follow at the Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell, open visitation hours are from 8:00am - 8:00pm on Tuesday.
The family will be gathering
from 5:00-8:00 P.M. to receive friends. Memorials may be made to
the Lexington Ag Boosters, 420 N.E. 4th, Lexington, OK, 73051.
The family would like to thank the staff of Norman Regional
Hospital for their care & services Tim received over the years.
Special thanks to Dr. Phillip Bird and Dr. Gerald McCullough for
everything they did for him!
