Donald Leon Christy age 72 of Noble, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home. He was born December 3, 1942 in Redding, California to Tom Leon Christy & Katie Pauline Pruitt Christy. His early childhood was spent in Oakland, California before moving to Pacheco, California in 1954. He attended high school at Pleasant Hill High School and graduated there in 1960.
After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force in June of 1960. Don served 2 terms serving in Korea and Viet Nam before being honorably discharged May of 1970. After discharge Don remained in California living in Pittsburg for several years before moving to Bayfield, Colorado in 1973. Several years later in 1978 he moved to Oklahoma and in 1984 he moved to Noble, Oklahoma where he still lived. He married Linda Rollins March 17, 1989 in Noble. Don began working for the University of Oklahoma in 1994 in the paint shop and after 25 years retired as supervisor of the paint shop in 2004. Don enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to work in his vegetable garden and work in his yard. He also loved to host family and friends at his outdoor barbeques. Fishing was also a favorite pastime.

Lexington 1 Sister: Sheryl Chisholm of Seattle, WA 1 Brother: Sandy Christy
& June of Martinez, CA 10 Grandchildren: Derek Christy, Kristen Yeary,
Bradley Taylor, Dylan Fountain, Tyler Taylor, Dalton Fountain, Cole
Fountain, Zella Christy, Braxton Williams, Kaitlyn Rendon Many nieces,
nephews and other loving relatives and friends
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2015 at
Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Burial will be at the Noble
