Allen, Ida June (Bradshaw) of Norman died September 21, 2011 at home with her husband and daughter at her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Allen was born December 31, 1919 in Noble, Oklahoma to Kate and Elijah C. Bradshaw.  She married Robert Keith Allen September 12, 1942 making her home in Oakland, CA where her husband was stationed with the Navy.  She graduated from St. Louis, OK high school and attended Oklahoma A&M College and Baylor University.

June and family moved from Waco, Texas to Norman in 1966.  Mrs. Allen was involved in numerous volunteer service programs, including Meals on Wheels, J.S.I. and served 9 years on the Cleveland County Fair Board.

She was a member of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, Fellowship Class, and a 43 year member of the New Hope Family Community Education organization.

June enjoyed cooking, especially bread making and pies, sharing her creations with friends and family as well as entering them in the county fair and winning many ribbons for her effort.

She was an artist, using acrylics and watercolors and loved painting landscapes and still life.  Many friends and family enjoy her paintings in their homes.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earnie, Virgil, Zay and James Bradshaw; sisters-in-law, Lucille Bradshaw, Allie Bradshaw and Dortha Bradshaw.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Allen; daughter, Patricia Kay Allen and husband Donn Hein of Denver, CO; and many special nieces and nephews.  We will miss the joy and love she brought to our lives.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2011 in the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Noble, OK.
