Homer Clinton Newberry, Sr, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the age of 91. The son of Terry W. and Virgie M. (Jones) Newberry, Homer was born January 10, 1925 in Hattieville, Arkansas. During World War II, Homer honorably served his country in the United States Army. In 1945, he married his sweetheart, Doris Katheryn Gray and together shared more than 69 years of marriage until her passing on February 22, 2014. They moved to the Oklahoma City area in1946, where they were longtime members of Grand Blvd. Church of Christ. For many years, Homer worked in Administration for VA Hospital. He enjoyed being a member of the Masons and Odd Fellow organizations. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend who will be deeply missed.

Homer was preceded in death by his:
Parents; Wife of nearly 70 years, Doris Katheryn Newberry;
Son, Homer Clinton Newberry, Jr.;

He leaves behind his loving:
Longtime Friends, Gary Johns and his wife, Kerry, who was like a son to him; & Beverly Ransom and her husband, Michael, who was like a daughter.
