EISENHOUR FUNERAL HOME
BLANCHARD, MCCLAIN CO, OK
(permission granted)
Debbie grew up as an “Air Force Brat” and lived in several places throughout United States. She enjoyed all of the experiences that she had growing up in a military family. She married Donald Shelton Black on December 10, 1973, in Gainesville, Texas and easily embraced the challenges and experiences of being a military wife. She worked as a special education paraprofessional with Moore Public Schools for nearly 18 years. Debbie was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ where she enjoyed participating in the Women’s Bible Study. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and especially loved spending time with her grandkids and caring for her family. Debbie was a friend to everyone who met her and she had a smile that could light up a room. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia “Ginny” McGee, her grandparents, Mandy and Leslie McKinley, Clyde McGee, and Blanche Bowman; and a nephew, Clayton Scheel.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Don Black of Blanchard; her father, Bill McGee of Moore; two sons, Brandon Black and wife, Dana, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Kyle Black of Oklahoma City; a daughter-in-law, Jen Posillico-Black of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Ayden Black, McKinley Black, Maddox Black, and Zoe Black; two sisters, Vicki Thompson and husband, Joe, of Pauls Valley, and Terri Lannom and husband, Grant, of Wagoner; numerous nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, and cousins; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the Blanchard Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery in Moore. Memorial donations may be made in Debbie’s name to Special Olympics or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
