The Graveside funeral service for Mary G. Barker,83,Enid , will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 5th, 2012 in Moore City Cemetery, Moore Oklahoma with Reverend Kenneth Witt officiating under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Mary was born on Jan. 13,1929 in Harrimon, Tennessee to Thomas and Ova Bell Page Abston and died May 2nd, 2012 in Enid.
Her family moved to
Oklahoma City in 1931 . She graduated from Mountain View high school in 1945. In
1949, she married Louie Jackson. He preceded her in death. In 1960, she married
David Ray Barker In Derby, Kansas. They lived in Granbury TX., Chickasha and
later, Shidler, Okla. They were married for forty-three years. He preceded her
in death on Oct. 1,2003. She was employed for twelve years by the Corps of
Engineers and was a Park Ranger until retirement. She was a charter member of
Westminster Presbyterian Church in Enid. She liked To crochet and loved to go
fishing and the casinos.
She is survived by three Sons: Bruce Jackson and wife
Linda of Enid and Victor Jackson of Fort Worth and Bob Barker and wife Jeanie of
Kaw City, Oklahoma, daughter, Debbie Curtis and husband Kenneth of Chickasha,12
grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and a sister, Eloise Witt of Okla. City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one Son and three brothers one Grandson and two Great Grandsons.
Memorials in her name may be made to Westminster Presbyterian with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
