Edward Slone, passed away Sept. 23, 2004 at the age of 80. He was born Sept. 6, 1924 in Wayland, KY to Maude & Claude Slone.

Edward married the love of his life, Mary Lou Martin on Sept. 5, 1946.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Slone; his children & their spouses, Judy & Terry Keen, Gay McCullough, Melissa & Mark Thompson, Veronica & Auda Bolden, Eddie & Bobbie Slone, Nyoka & George Enriquez, Baird & Joni Slone, Sheena & Andy McGrady; 22 grandchildren; & 25 great grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; & 2 great grandchildren.

Edward proudly served in the US Army in WWII in the Philippines. After his service, he worked in deep coal mines for 20 years.

In 1968, he & Mary moved to OKC where Edward worked for South West Electric before retiring in 1988.

Edward loved hunting, fishing, his chewing tobacco & especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Moore City Cemetery. Vondel L. Smith & Son 6934 S. Western 634-1439
