L. E. Short of Moore was called to be with the Lord April 5, 1994 at age 60.
Born March 16, 1934 in Mangum, Oklahoma, Mr. Short had been a resident of Moore for the past 25 years.
A retired truck driver, he was a veteran of the United States Navy and had served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel E. Short and Erie R. Short, and is survived by a brother, Monroe M. Short and his wife Linda; a sister of the home, Wanna E Wolfe and her husband, Jim; sister Loetta R. Rodston and her husband Dave and his five daughters and their families: Theresa Alley, Belinda Webb, Toni Vaughn, LaWanna Batchelor, Karla Dodge; four sons-in - law, Bill Webb, Nickey Vaughn, Danny Paul Batchelor, and Mike Dodge; 11 grandchildren: Steven, Rhanna, Lavaila, Jacob, LaKeitcha, Danny Ray, Randal, Tiffany, Jessy, Tayler, and Teddi Joe.
Services were held at 2 PM April 9 at Central Church of Christ with Tommy Haynes officiating. Burial was under the direction of Resthaven in Moore Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Webb, Nicky Vaughn, Danny Batchelor, Mike Dodge, Steven Vaughn, Jr. and Bill Wissler.
