Prestina “Tina” Faye Burton passed from this life on January 26, 2015. She
was born on January 27, 1935 in Purcell, OK to Preston and Phaye Jackson.
Prestina was a lifetime resident of Norman as well as an avid OU fan. She
retired from Griffin Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a waitress for many
years as well as a Wal-Mart Greeter. She lived life her way. Her greatest joy
was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Pat Burton and Michael
Burton Jennings.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Roberts and husband Jeff; brother,
Lowell “Butch” Jackson and wife Rose Anne; grandchildren, Amie King and husband
Julian and John Lewis II; great grandchildren, Journey King and John Ryan Lewis,
Niece; Debbie Jackson, great nephew; Colton Stanford; and numerous cousins,
extended family and many good friends.
The family would like to extend thanks to the PICU unit at the Norman Healthplex
for taking care of Tina with compassion and dignity.
Visitation for Tina will be 11:00AM-8:00PM, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home. The family will receive guests from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
