Barr, Dawna Lynne (Prentice), 45, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 in Moore, Oklahoma. She was born March 28, 1966 in Norman, Oklahoma to Charles and Joanne (Omstead) Prentice. She was united in marriage on October 10, 2003 in Purcell, Oklahoma to David M. Barr.
Dawna graduated from Norman High School in 1984 and was a respiratory therapist for 20 years. She was currently employed at Kindred South Hospital and was dedicated to taking care of her patients. She was a member of the National Respiratory Therapist Association. Dawna enjoyed scrapbooking, collecting Dawn Dolls; and spending time with her family and dogs.
Dawna is survived by her husband, David of the home; her mother and stepfather, Joanne and John Vassaw of Norman; her paternal grandmother, Bee Prentice of Norman; two stepsons, Brandon Barr of Moore and Connor Barr of Midwest City; one brother, Robert Prentice and wife Tracy of Norman; one grandson, Perry Barr of Moore; aunts and uncles, Judy and Arnie Hagen, Alice and Bill Katona, Denise and Jim Stubblefield, all of Norman and Don and Randy Prentice of Texas; two nieces, Olivia Prentice and Julia Prentice both of Norman; her guinea pig, Trixie; her cat, Tabby and her dogs, Vanna, Doxie, Chloe, Snickers and Tinker Bell.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Prentice in 1999; maternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Omstead; paternal grandfather, Robert Prentice; and her aunt, Cheryl Prentice.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, Norman, with intermant following in Maguire-Fairview Cemetery.
