Betty Jane Wade age 81 of Shawnee, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 in Oklahoma City. She was born on July 25, 1931 in Norman, Oklahoma. Betty was the oldest of three children. Her parents were Park Wyatt Boggs and Flora Mae (Mahurin) Boggs. Betty grew up in the Norman, Purcell, Lexington and Wanette area. She learned how to work hard as a young girl and continued that same work ethic throughout her life. She worked hard as a wife and homemaker, raising seven children. She also was a great provider, working as a Registered Nurse most of her life. For many years she worked in Norman at the Central State Hospital. In her later years, Betty enjoyed staying at home and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a Christian woman who loved reading her bible.

She is preceded in death by: Parents: Park Wyatt Boggs of Oklahoma and Tulare, California Flora Mae Jeter and husband Ray of Oklahoma and Visalia, California

Husband: Charles Eldon Thompson of Kaufman, TX

A son: Joel Thompson of Tyler, TX

A granddaughter: Jennifer Thompson of Longview, TX

Two brothers: Bill Boggs of Oklahoma, Visalia &Tulare, California and Lubbock, TX Park Boggs of Oklahoma, and Visalia &Tulare, CA

Two half-brothers: Frank of Arkansas Darrell Boggs of Tulare, CA

Two half-sisters: Deborah VanCamp of Oklahoma, California and Phoenix, AZ Peggy Crenshaw of Oklahoma, Arizona and Visalia & Farmersville, CA

She is survived by: Six children: Chuck Thompson of Edgewood, TX Richard Thompson of Edgewood, TX Warren Dale Thompson of Edgewood, TX Pam Materne and husband Mike of Harker Heights, TX Steve Thompson of Edgewood, TX Wayne Thompson and his wife Debbie of Edgewood, TX

Four half-brothers: Jerry Jeter and wife Carol of Oklahoma, Phoenix, Arizona and Nashville, TN. Andrew Jeter and wife Sue of Oklahoma, Arizona and Columbia, TN. Roger Boggs of Tulare, CA and Dearing, Georgia Dan Boggs and wife Chris of Tulare, CA

Three Half-sisters: Mary (Jeter) Russell and husband Paul of Arizona, Visalia, CA and Moore, Oklahoma Karen (Boggs) Fenstermaker and husband Bud of Tulare, CA Donna (Boggs) Hawkins and husband Donald of Tulare, CA and Kansas,

Three Sisters-in-laws: Lenda Boggs of Oklahoma, Visalia & Tulare, CA and Lubbock, TX Ophelia Boggs of Arizona, Visalia, CA and Noble, Oklahoma Linda Boggs of Arkansas

22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren Many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends

Best Friend: Shirley Davis of Odessa, TX (best friend for 50 years)

Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, OK. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell
