Fannie M. (Wilhite) Waddle, age 97 of Lexington, passed away Friday, September 02, 2016, at the Lexington Nursing Home.

Fannie McNutt was born August 26, 1919, in Corbett, Oklahoma, Fannie was the 10th child of 13 children and a twin, born to William Richard McNutt and Mertie Cazell (Stone) McNutt. She was raised near Corbett and attended school at Valley Grove School east of Lexington. On March 4, 1939, Fannie and T.L. Wilhite were united in marriage and they spent the next 51 years happily married. They made their home in Lexington where together they raised 3 children, daughter, Saundra and sons, K.D. and Tom. Fannie worked as an LPN at Central State Hospital in Norman, retiring in 1981. She was a longtime and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington. In February of 1990, TL passed away. Fannie later married Clark Waddle in 1993 and they made their home in Norman for 10 years. They were members of Immanuel Baptist Church during their time there. After Clark’s passing, she returned back home to Lexington. For the past 17 years she has been a resident at the Lexington Nursing Home where she was well loved and had many friends. Fannie loved and greatly enjoyed all of her family and friends. For many years, Fannie and T. L enjoyed traveling to Mission, Texas during the Winters and North Fork, Colorado during the Summers. Fannie enjoyed painting, crocheting, wood carving and attending to her flower garden. She was a wonderful example of a wife and mother and grandmother and a true friend to all! She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husbands, T.L. Wilhite and Clark Waddle; Parents, W.R. and Mertie McNutt; 6 brothers, Curgis, Loyel, Ellis, Elmer, Ray and Doyle; 5 sisters, Edith Ingles, Eula Henry, Merrell Evans, Bela Jones and Helen Caldwell; Grandson, Doug Bernard; Son-in-law, William E. Bernard; Daughter-in-law, Sue Wilhite; Step son-in-law, Jim Rider; Step children, Don and Jerrie Waddle and Bob and Carolyn Waddle.

Fannie leaves behind: Her sons, K.D. Wilhite of Lexington and Tom Wilhite and wife Donna of Norman; Her daughter, Saundra Ferguson and husband Larry of Lexington; Sister, Roma Hawk of California; 4 step children, Shirley Rider, Keith Waddle and wife Shirley, all of Norman; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 23 step grandchildren; 37 step great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren And a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
