Sharon Kay Simmons Rosengarten died November 2, 2014 in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years 2 months 25 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.Sharon was born August 8, 1955 in Tulare, California. She was the second child of nine born to Earl and Luceal Simmons. Sharon became a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on August 12, 1967, when she declared her love for the Lord. She attended school in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Sharon married Keith Rosengarten in 1986. She lived in Hawaii, Ohio and Texas, but settled in Lexington, Oklahoma with her family. After many years of praying for a child, on June 27, 1988, her prayers were answered and Jordan Ashley Rosengarten entered this world. Sharon became a grandmother when Taylor Blake came along. Ryleigh and Brody soon followed. These kids meant the world to Sharon. Sharon was a avid gardener and had the greenest thumb around. She loved doing puzzles, playing skip-bo and going on hay-rides. Sharon loved little children and spent a lot of time taking care of the elderly.
Survivors include her daughter, Jordan Rosengarten; grandchildren, Taylor, Ryleigh and Brody; siblings, Doris Harris and husband, Monroe or Lexington, Barbara Skinner of Lexington, Rena Ivey of Lexington, Martha Jones of Wayne, Rhonda Fulton and husband, Gregg of Hearne, Texas, Earl Simmons of Wayne; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, friends.
