Raymond Edwin Riggle age 72 of Rosedale, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, November 30, 2015 at his home.

Known as Ray most of his life, was born June 8, 1943 in Lexington, OK. He was the youngest child of six children born to Heber Eldridge Riggle and Emma Ruth (Rogers) Riggle. Ray grew up living in Lexington, Noble and Oklahoma City.

At the age of 17 he enlisted into the U. S. Army and served two years before reenlisted in the U. S. Air Force. Ray proudly served his country for 21 years before retiring as a Tech Sgt. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam, several other oversea tours and achieved numerous decorations. During his career in the military he lived in Nebraska, Labrador Canada, Wyoming, Texas, Guam and Florida. In 1980 Ray and his family moved to Rosedale where he bought his mother’s business “Horton’s Trading Post”. He later changed the name to “Riggle Trading Post” and his family is still running the business after 35 years. Ray served his community in many regards including many years as the Rosedale Fire Chief. He was also served as a Past Master of the Purcell Masonic Lodge #27. Ray was a faithful Christian and attended the Church of Christ most of his life. And while his grandchildren were growing up he attended the Baptist Church with them. For over 17 years he enjoyed hosting the Riggle Family Reunion in Rosedale. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and cooking. One of his favorite things to do was singing and playing his guitar. Most of all, Ray was a family man. He loved his wife, his sons and especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Heber and Ruth Riggle; Two brothers, Leroy and Doyal Riggle; Infant sister, Louis Riggle;

He is survived by: Wife of 53 years, Delores Riggle of the home; Three sons all of Rosedale, Roger Riggle, Richard Riggle and Raymond L. Riggle and wife Olivia Six grandchildren, Nikki Nauman, Selena, Adriana, Abigail, Cody and Andrew Riggle; One brother, Roger D. Riggle of Moore; One sister, Alma Bumgarner of Norman, Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at the Lexington Cemetery.
