Norman - Romney "Donnie" Dale Phelps, 76, died Sunday, March 28, in Lexington. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Lexington Cemetery under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service .

Dale was born August 1, 1933 in Hinton to Jake and Eva (Bates) Phelps. He worked for the University of Oklahoma as a book processor.

Dale is survived by his children, Shelli Mellor and husband, Steve, and Dennis Phelps; grandchildren, Tanner Clouse, Leslie Ford and husband, Bryce; great grandson, Blain Ford; brother, Junior Phelps and wife, Sue; sisters-in-law, Ruth Harrell, Ruth Phelps; and many other relatives and friends.
