Betty Phelps was a long-time member of Country Estates Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and all of her seven siblings, her husband Wyman Leroy Phelps, son Gary Lynn Phelps, and granddaughter Melissa Fletcher Lewis. She is survived by daughter Laneta McNabb and husband Clifton McNabb, grandson Paul Fletcher and wife Teri Fletcher, along with their children Bailee, Noah, Emma, and Lilly. She is also survived by granddaughter Rebecca Heidt and husband Corey Heidt, along with their daughter Ana; daughter-in-law Lois Phelps grandson Jerry DeWayne Phelps, along with his wife and children.
