Lea Ann Dudgeon was born March 31, 1954 in Lawrence Kansas to Lee Roy and Mary Ann Dudgeon. Lea Ann’s childhood was a myriad of challenges and obstacles for her. Her parents both died while she was yet young, and so she lived with her grandparents for a while, and eventually her aunt and uncle. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1972. Lea Ann married her best friend and life partner, Wilfred Franklin Perry, on May 22, 1973 in Pauls Valley. Together they raised 2 children, daughter, Letha and son Shawn. A Military wife, the family moved all over, eventually moving all the way from England, and settling in Lexington in 1990. Lea Ann worked for many years as a Nurse. She dedicated her life to caring for others. In 1991, Lea Ann began working for the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Lexington, now known as Broadway Living Center. She then began working at the Joseph Harp Correctional facility, and remained there until December of last year when she was medically retired. When not working, she enjoyed arts and crafts like painting and mosaics, and she even made her own jewelry. She loved animals and especially her Yorkies. Lea Ann was a loving wife, a proud mother and grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many. She was a woman of great faith and a member of the True Vine Church in Goldsby. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her son, Shawn Perry; Parents, Lee Roy and Mary Ann Dudgeon and Brother, Donnie Miller.
