Bob McKiddy was
born to Alice Mixon McKiddy and Lawrence Walter McKiddy, Sr. on December 17,
1935 in Tribbey, Oklahoma, and passed peacefully from this life September 23,
2014, surrounded by his family.
Bob graduated from Lexington High School, and promptly began running the family
dairy outside of Lexington, and raising his family. He spent time serving the
public at the Norman Police Department in the early 60s, and Cleveland County
Sheriff’s Office in the 70s, always maintaining a side business of buying and
selling cattle, which was the vocation he enjoyed the most. Bob spent his
entire life in Cleveland County, living the past several years in Norman. He
married his wife Paula in 1997, and they enjoyed a very happy life.
Twenty-five years ago, he began process serving and very quickly built a very
successful business, making many friends along the way. Bob worked serving
process until just a couple of months before his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donnie McKiddy and Bill
McKiddy; and daughter, Krista McKiddy.
Bob is survived by his wife, Paula of
the home; daughters, Janie McKiddy of Lafayette, Indiana, Jeanne Ring and
husband Glenn of Earlsboro, OK, and Kerri Dunlap of Norman; step-daughter,
Debbie West and husband George of Noble; grandchildren, Jamee Ring of Oklahoma
City, Apryl Pereira and husband Danny of Mary Esther, Florida, and Joseph Dunlap
of Norman; step-grandchildren, Melissa Smith of Norman and Justin Smith and wife
Karen of Noble; great-grandson, Sebastian Wright; and step-great-grandchildren,
Lorian Smith and Jackson Smith; sisters, Betty Winkle and husband Jerry of
Norman, Nancy Baca and husband Lawrence of San Antonio, TX, and Laura George and
husband Greg of Purcell; brother, L.W. McKiddy, Jr. and wife Debbie of Norman;
and many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation for Bob will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25,
2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401
Havenbrook Street in Norman at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014 with
internment following at Lexington
Cemetery.
Arrangements for Bob and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family
at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at
