Linda McGehee, age 71 of Purcell, passed away Monday,
August 24, 2015, at her home.
Linda Dawn Matthews was born July 8, 1944 in
Purcell, OK, the youngest of 7 children born to Andrew Jackson Matthews and
Susie (Holt) Matthews. She was raised in Purcell and spent most of her life
there. Linda married the love of her life, Doyle McGehee on March 10, 1962
and he took care of her from the time they said “I Do” until her final
breath. Together they raised a daughter, Stacy Dawn. Linda was a wonderful
wife and mother. She cherished her family and brought so much joy and made
so many wonderful memories with her family and friends. Linda was the best
wife, mother, sister and aunt that anyone could ask for. She will be dearly
missed!
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Andrew and Susie Matthews; Sisters, Clarissa Underwood and Mildred Fielder and Brothers, David, AJ, Ronnie and Kenneth Matthews.
Linda leaves behind: Her husband, Doyle McGehee of the home; Daughter, Stacy Dawn Benton and husband Ed of Purcell and A host of other family and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell. Send online condolences at wilsonlittle.com
