(permission granted)

Don Looman, age 64 of Paoli, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his home.

Don Edward Looman was born February 26, 1951 in Purcell, OK. He was one of three sons born to Elvas Lorn Looman and Ruby Sue (Poe) Looman. Don was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell schools graduating with the class of 1969. While in school, Don was a standout athlete, especially in football. He would later be named to the “1960’s All Decade Dragon Team”, an accomplishment he often fondly recalled. After high school, Don began working in the oil field, working his way up to driller and later as a tool pusher. He spent time working, first in Louisiana, then later in Florida, before moving to the slopes of Alaska. Don worked more than 20 years in the oilfield before a severe injury forced him to retire. Don loved his family and he loved his friends. Some of his fondest memories are times he spent with them at get-togethers and cookouts. He loved being outdoors and never

missed an opportunity to go fishing. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His father, Elvas Lorn Looman.

Don leaves behind: His daughter, Courtney Donn Looman of Cushing, OK; His mother, Ruby Looman of Purcell; 2 brothers, Loran Looman and wife Barbara of Wayne and Jerry Looman of Purcell; His niece, Jennifer Waters of McKinney, TX; 2 nephews, Josh Looman of Spring Hill, FL and Matt Looman of Purcell, and A host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
