Betty Lea Lambdin died July 2, 2015 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years 3 months 13 days. Gravesite services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Lexington Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Betty was born March 20, 1932 in Indio, California to Ray and Roselea (Waldren) Houston. She was raised in California, before moving to the Lexington area. May 17, 1947, Betty married E. C. "June" Lambdin in Purcell, Oklahoma. They made their home east of Lexington, where they raised their family. Betty loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, watching birds and deer. Betty worked for the State of Oklahoma at Griffin State Hospital, retiring in 1992.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Roselea; husband, E.C. "June"; sisters, Patsy Houston, Syble Martin; brothers, Ray Houston Jr., and John Houston.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Bridgeford and husband, Elmer of Lexington; sons, Larry Lambdin and wife, Kathy, Gary Lambdin and wife, Debbie, Phillip Lambdin, all of Lexington; step-father, John Morrison of Lexington; grandchildren, Kevin Lambdin and wife, Kelly of Arkcity, Kansas, Jerry Lambdin and wife, Jennifer of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Karen Hemmerling and husband, Kyle, Kelly Lambdin, Andy Bridgeford and wife, Leah, all of Lexington, Dottie Bridgeford of Purcell, Colten Lambdin of Lexington; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Kay Keathley and husband, Marlin of Oklahoma City, Cookie Bridgeford of Okemah, Bernice Blalock of Norman, Janice Childress of Norman, Sharon Lucus of Blanchard; sister in law, Joan Lambdin; and many other relatives and friends.
