Harold Dean Caldwell, age 75 of Lexington passed away Sunday, February 07, 2016 the Norman Health Plex.

He was born Feb. 17, 1940 in Allen, Oklahoma. Harold was the oldest child of eight children born to Jesse Robert Caldwell and Timerity “Tennie” (Burditt) Caldwell. Harold grew up a farm boy near the Corbett community and attended Lexington schools. In 1963 he was drafted into the U. S. Army and proudly served his country for two years during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged he returned home to Lexington and later married Doris Prescher. They were married on November 27, 1965 in Lexington at the Catholic Church. Together they raised four sons, Kevin, Mike, Todd and Daniel. Harold began working in the early 1970’s for the City of Norman in the Street Department. He later transferred to the Line Department where he retired in 2003. Harold was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. Throughout his life he enjoyed buying, selling and trading cars. He also enjoyed traveling with Doris, watching old western movies, watching O.U. sports and riding on his old tractor. In his later years he loved going out-to-eat at Ruby’s and Tiffany’s restaurant’s. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Jesse and Tennie Caldwell; One brother, Jackie Dale Caldwell; One grandson, Jordan Michael Caldwell;

He is survived by: Wife, Doris Caldwell of the home; Four sons, Kevin Caldwell and wife Teresa of Lexington, Mike Caldwell and wife Marcia of Yukon, Todd Caldwell of Lexington, Daniel Caldwell of Lexington; Four brothers, Wayne Caldwell and wife Debra of Lexington, Jerry Caldwell and wife Jan of Altus, Jesse Caldwell of Lexington, David Caldwell and wife Annell of Ft. Smith, AR. Two sisters, Sue Mitchell of Purcell, Sheila Dewoody of Ada; Nine grandchildren, Timothy Caldwell and wife Rebecca, Matthew Caldwell and fiancée Torri Triplett, Amber, Trenton, Katelynn, Austin, Caleb and Zackary Caldwell. One great grandson, Cooper Caldwell. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

A Rosary service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. A Funeral Mass Service will be 10:00am Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. Interment will be at the Lexington Catholic Cemetery.
