Services were held Friday, July 18, 2008 at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes for Bert Floyd Burnside Sr.
The son of Harold R. and Lorene (Taylor) Burnside, born May 9, 1941 in Oklahoma City, OK and leaving this world on July 14, 2008 at the age of 67.
Bert graduated from U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City and retired from the Oil & Gas Industry. Bert worked his way up the ladder becoming supervisor for many years at Carson Machine and Supply and Q B Johnsons in Oklahoma City.
In his free time Bert was race car fan & driver at the old State Fairgrounds raceway, a dedicated member of the National Pigeon Association attending every show he could and always placing in the top 3. But most of all Bert enjoyed his family and friends.
Bert is survived by his mother, Lorene Burnside, sons Bert Jr. and wife Karen, Mike, and Ronnie and wife Renee, daughter Delinda Cochran, sister Sharon Bates and husband Jerry. 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a countless number of friends.
Bert was truly a friend to all that knew him and will be greatly missed
