My dad was my rock. He was an amazing father, son, brother, friend and all around a great man. He would always tell me how proud of me he was and the man I've become. the truth is I owe it all to him and I'm proud to call him dad. he was a great example of what a man is, he was was the toughest man I've ever known.
Know matter what was thrown at him he would overcome it and end up on top. He was a hard working man and was a great example of strong work ethic, I can count the number of times he missed work on one hand and most of them we're because of me not because he called in sick.
In his 58 years on this earth he did more than most. He truly lived his life to the fullest. When I was a kid and we we're living in Missouri he started training in Jiu-Jitsu and mixed martial arts, some of my fondest memories is my brother and I going out in the front yard and training with him. My dad and his friends went onto to start there own Jiu-jitsu academy at the ymca. At one point in his life he also trained cutting horses for Alice Walton. I remember him taking my brother and I to this horse ranch and he surprised us with his first horse that he bought. He was so proud of that horse.
Around 8 years ago he got back into to tennis after not playing since his college days. He excelled in the tennis competitions he competed in and ended up getting an opportunity to get paid to do what he loves. He became the director of tennis at hidden trails country club.
Know matter what my dad did being a father, a teacher, a student, a competitor, or a mentor, he would give it his all and put his heart and soul into it. That's a life lesson for all of us, know matter what you do in life put your heart and soul into it and give 100%, he definitely passed that onto me. I got his same strong heart and soul and I promise to always give 100%.
Rest easy pops, no worries, I got it from here. Love ya
