Suzanne "Sue" Starr Virtue , a longtime Norman
resident, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, after a
brief illness in Denver, where she was residing with
her youngest daughter, Rebecca.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's
Episcopal Church, 225 W. Duffy St., Norman.
Interment will be in the columbarium at St. John's.

The Rev. Dick Virtue founder and long-time
executive director of NAIC-Center for Oklahoma
Alcohol and Drug Services, Inc., died in Norman,
OK, on Sunday, April 6. A pioneer in the field
of Drug and Alcohol Treatment in the State of
Oklahoma, Fr. Virtue 's motto was "Help and
Hope" which he spread to thousands of
Oklahomans. "Help and Hope" was the cornerstone
as he tirelessly worked to obtain private and
public support for NAIC and other local and
state agencies committed to fighting alcoholism
and drug addiction.
Fr. Virtue was preceded in death by: his father,
Charles R. Virtue Sr.; his mother, Olive Marie
Virtue ; and his older brother, Charles R.
Virtue , Jr.
He is survived by: his wife, Sue Starr Virtue ;
and his 4 children, Richard L.C. Virtue , Jr.
and his wife Belinda of Santa Fe, NM; Nancy
Virtue Lewis and her husband Steve of Tulsa, OK;
Rebecca Virtue of Denver, CO; and David Virtue
and his wife Lynn of Vancouver, WA; and 7
grandchildren, Cary and Neil Virtue , Reed
Lewis, Starr Smith, Chris Spurlock and Caleb and
Jacob Virtue . Service will be held at 10 a.m.,
Saturday, April 12, at St. John's Episcopal
Church, 235 W. Duffy Street, Norman, OK.
Interment will be held in the columbarium at St.
John's Episcopal Church. A reception in the
church parish hall will follow. In lieu of
