Georgia Ellen Hanna, age 85, of Noble, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Lexington Nursing Home. She was born June 2, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK, 1 of 11 children born to Lee Corbert Wesley and Janice (Hall) Wesley. Georgia married Sam Felix Samples at a very young age. To this union, 5 children were born. A few years later, she married Elmer Jackson Hanna, and to this union, 4 more children were welcomed into the family. Georgia worked tirelessly as a homemaker, devoting her life to taking care of her family. Georgia loved gospel music and loved to sing in church. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Liberty Gospel Tabernacle in Slaughterville. Georgia enjoyed sewing and tending to her flower garden. She was a wonderful example of a wife and mother and leaves a lasting legacy for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Elmer Hanna; Son, Jerry Hanna; Parents, Lee and Janice Wesley; 5 sisters, Infant Alberta, Marie Hardy, Lillian Bradshaw, Virginia Parker and Leona Samples; 3 brothers, Lee, John D. and Fred Wesley; 2 daughter-in-laws, Debbie Samples and Anita Samples and 1 son-in-law, Charles Guess.
Georgia leaves behind: 3 daughters, Amanda Robinett, Lillian Guess and Judy Brown, all of Macomb; 5 sons, Ezekial Samples, Sam Samples Jr., Tommy Samples, Elmer Hanna Jr. and Bill Hanna, all of Noble; 1 sister, Ruby Cunniff of Burleson, TX; 1 brother, Richard Wesley of Okla. City; 26 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great greats and A host of other family and friends.
