Wadley's Funeral Service
Thelma L. Haynes died May 27, 2014 in Lexington,
Oklahoma at the age of 93 years 8 months 11 days.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM,
Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Rose Hill Pentecostal
Church east of Lexington. Interment will follow at
Chappel Hill Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s
Funeral Service.
Thelma was born September 16, 1920 in Trousdale,
Oklahoma to Willis Edgar and Nellie Mae (Murphy)
French. She was raised and attended school in the
Trousdale area. On January 22, 1938, she married
William Haynes in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Thelma
enjoyed sewing and church work. She was a member of
the Rose Hill Pentecostal Church.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Willis
and Nellie Mae French; husband, William Haynes; 4
brothers, and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her sons,
Donnie Haynes and wife, Dawn of Lexington, Willis
Haynes of Texas, Erskine Haynes of Arkansas;
daughters, Sylvia Christie and husband, Chester of
Wyoming, Maxine Haynes of Wewoka, Oklahoma; 13
grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 14
great-great grandchildren and many other relatives
and friends.
