Vicki Draper, 65 of Lexington, passed away Wednesday May 18, 2016, at the Norman Regional Healthplex.

Vicki Lee Brooks was born August 27, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK, the older of 2 daughters born to Jesse Carter Brooks Jr. and Catherine Loraine (Purdy) Brooks. Vicki was raised in OKC and attended school there, graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1968. On March 26, 1975, Vicki married her best friend and true love, J.B. Draper. They first made their home in OKC, before settling in Lexington. Vicki worked at the Dollar Store for a short time and later at the Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Purcell. Her greatest joy and most important job was being a wife and mother. Vicki cherished her family and especially her grandchildren, and her 2 dogs, Cocoa and Rusty. She loved the Lord and served faithfully as a member of the Rose Hill Pentecostal Church of God. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Jesse Brooks Jr. and Catherine Brooks and An infant son, J. Walter Draper.

Vicki leaves behind: Her husband, J.B. Draper of the home; Daughter, Catherine Draper of Norman; Sons, Carter Draper and wife Ytona of Okla. City and Remington Draper of Okla. City; Step son, William Michael Draper and wife Naomi of Milford, KS; Sister, Debra Brooks of Okla. City; Aunt, Patricia Hamilton of Lexington; Grandchildren, Clay Draper, Collin Draper, Jeremy Myers and Craig Head; Step grandchildren, Brandon, Bradley, Brian, Brittany and Brooke Draper; 2 great grandchildren, Michael and Aubree; uncles and a host of other family and friends. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Box Cemetery east of Lexington.
