Gerald Freeman died February 26, 2021 in Noble, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years 4 months 28 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Banner Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.
Gerald was born September 29, 1932 in Dustin, Oklahoma to Truman and Adella (Brown) Freeman. He was raised and attended school in Spiro, Oklahoma. March 26, 1952, Gerald was inducted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict and was honorable discharged on March 25, 1955. On October 22, 1955, he married Georgia Baughman, and have been together for a little over 65 years.
Gerald held many jobs during his life. He owned his own sawmill for many years which he loved. After his retirement, he worked for Wal-Mart as a greeter until May of 2012. Gerald enjoyed riding in a boat, fishing. He never met a stranger and loved to talk about any and everything. Gerald loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved children and felt responsible for all he knew.
Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Truman Freeman; his mother, Adella Dillon; his step-father, Eual Dillon; his brother, Loyd Freeman; and his grandsons, Gerald Bret Freeman and Jordan Ray Freeman.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Freeman; his son, Ray Freeman and wife, Leona; and their children, Eric Freeman and Raelynn Freeman; his daughter, Gwenda Jefferys and husband, Clarence; and their children, Sabrina Kinsey; Terri Zerby, Kayla Wishon, and Trever Simpson; his daughter, Charlott Reynolds and husband, Eldon; and their children, Brandon Reynolds, Heath Reynolds, Brooke McCoy, Levi Reynolds, Jeremiah Reynolds, Jessica Reynolds, Jonathan Reynolds, Aiden Reynolds, Brayden Reynolds, Andrew Reynolds, Alexis Reynolds, Moriah Reynolds, Zander Reynolds, Zivah Reynolds, Paisleigh Reynolds; his siblings, Lavoy Richards, Jolene Couch, Naome Phillips, Bill Freeman, Wayne Dillon; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
