Catherine Sue (Hart) Edgington

Catherine Sue (Hart) Edgington
February 21, 1944 ~ November 17, 2020

Catherine Sue (Hart) Edgington was born on February 21, 1944. She entered eternal rest on November 17, 2020 after an extended illness. Sue was the second of four children born to Ralph and Lucile Hart. She graduated from Boise City High School in May of 1962. She married Alan Edgington that fall. Their marriage brought Rick, Paul, and Phillip into this world and they loved her very much. Alan and Sue divorced in 1975.

Sue raised her children in Boise City and all of them graduated from Boise City High School. In 2000, Sue left Boise City and joined her sons Rick and Paul in Tonkawa, OK. She helped Rick manage apartments and she also worked for Northern Oklahoma College as a dorm hostess for Easterling Hall until 2009. Unfortunately, Sue suffered a major stroke in March of 2010. She spent the remaining years of her life at Willow Haven Nursing Home.

Sue is survived by her sons, Rick of Tonkawa, Paul and Susie of Tonkawa, and Phillip and Stephanie and their family of Perkins, OK. She is also survived by her sisters Paula and husband Bob White of Boise City and Carrol and husband Stanley Johnson of Roswell, New Mexico and their families.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lucile, and her brother, Guy Dewayne (Buck).

The family is eternally grateful for the care given to Sue by Willow Haven Nursing Home. Each one of the staff held a special place in her heart and in the hearts of her sons. During her final months on earth she was also cared for by the kind and loving staff of Humanity Hospice. Everyone kept her safe and comfortable in this final challenging time.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to the NOC Foundation, LPN nursing scholarship. P.O. Box 310, Tonkawa, OK 74653.
