William Robert (Bill) Stone died at the Sam Rayburn Veterans' Center in Bonham, TX, on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Bro. Bill, as most people called him, was born on May 28, 1927, near Wagoner, OK, to Jordan and Ellie Stone. The family eventually moved to Mountain Home, AR, and that is where he grew up. He served in the Army during WWII and married Dalah Cowart in November of 1947. They were married for sixty-one years until her death in 2008. In December of 2010, he married his current wife, Martha, of Hugo.

Bro. Bill pastored churches in Texas and Oklahoma, built and remodeled houses, and served with the Campers on Mission organization after his retirement. He enjoyed baseball, softball, and golf and poured himself into ministering to young people in his churches, at Kiamichi Baptist Assembly, and at Falls Creek. He moved to Hugo in 1979 and pastored several churches in the area and enjoyed his friends and colleagues in the Frisco Baptist Association. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always had a smile and a handshake for friends and strangers alike.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, his daughters, Ellen and Dana, and their families, as well as his sister, Alline.

Bro. Bill's family invites his friends to join them as they celebrate his life on Saturday morning, April 16th, at 10:00 in the Pavilion at Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo. Reece Watson, Bill's son-in-law, will officiate. Services are under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.

Family and friends are invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.praterlampton.com.
