Graveside services for Stella “Jack” Buchanan will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Spencerville Cemetery. Stella passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012, in Calera, OK at the age of 89.
Stella Mae Buchanan was born December 29, 1922, in High Hill, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Schely (Nelson) Atteberry. She always called Spencerville home. She worked as a supervisor for twenty years at Oklahoma Linen Service now NuWay Linen and Laundry Service. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Derrell Buchanan; and one grandson.
Stella is survived by her children; Kenneth Draper and wife Joyce of California, Norma Cherry and husband Jack of Texas, Sue Hawkins of Durant, Oklahoma, Sandy Grimes and husband Jr. of Perkins, Oklahoma, Rick Buchanan and wife Jan of Choctaw, Oklahoma; one sister: Bobbie Palmer of California; one brother, Wendell Green of California; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
She will be missed by all who knew and greatly loved her.
