Funeral services for Jolene Michele Westbrook will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo, OK with Pastor Rick McGee officiating and burial following in the Soper Cemetery in Soper, OK. Jolene went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Plano, TX, at the age of 48.
Jolene Westbrook was born June 3, 1967 in Purcell, OK, to Larry and Janie (Ladlee) Williams. She was Miss Rio Grande 1985 and competed in the Miss Texas Pageant that year. She started the Hugo area ‘Homeschoolers for Christ’ and was heavily invested in the Soper Community in the lives of children and adults as the First Baptist Church Youth Leader and Worship Leader. Her gift of song and her love for Jesus uplifted all that met her. She was a devoted wife and mother who stood as an example to many on what it means to exhibit Proverbs 31 as a woman. Her presence and service will not be forgotten by all of the lives she touched.
Jolene is survived by her husband, Rick Westbrook of the home; six sons, Josh Westbrook and wife, Whitney, of Cherokee, OK, Ryan Westbrook and wife, Janelle, of Vancouver, WA, Nathan Westbrook, Jake Westbrook, Micah Westbrook, and Mitchell Westbrook, all of Soper, OK; her parents, Larry & Janie Williams of Antlers, OK; her brothers, Robert Williams of Antlers, OK, & Bill Williams and wife, Joan, of Madison, WI, as well as a host of other family & friends.
The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo, OK from 6:00-7:00 pm on Friday, November 6, 2015.
