Funeral services for Calvin M. Hudlin will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Assembly of God in Rattan, OK, with Pastor Dave Goff officiating and burial following in the Soper Cemetery in Soper, OK. Calvin passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 in Soper, Oklahoma, at the age of 71.

Calvin M. Hudlin was born on January 3, 1944 in Hulbert, OK to William Floyd and Elsie (Warren) Hudlin. He married Jeanette Colbert on March 12, 1965 in Haskell, OK. Calvin always studied diligently in school, completing his B.A. in Elementary Education at N.E. College in Tahlequah, OK. They made their home in Kansas City, KS where Calvin taught mainly 6th grade with an emphasis on science for 30 plus years in the Kansas City School District. He completed his M.B.A in Elementary Administration while raising a family and working several jobs. Calvin moved back to the Choctaw County area about 10 years ago and was a faithful member of the Victory Assembly of God Church. He was tireless in his devotion to the local churches he served with as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, board member and usher. Calvin enjoyed working outside in his spare time, gardening and collecting antiques. He was recently preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Marie Deichler; parents; two sisters, Anna Lee Hudlin, Martha Margie Colbert; brother, Donald Floyd Hudlin.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Jeanette Hudlin of the home; his children, Jeffrey N. Hudlin and wife Cynthia, of Strafford, MO, Randall Lee Hudlin of Overland Park, KS; sister, Mary Lou Smith of Checotah, OK; two grandchildren, Julian Robert Deichler and wife, Shanny, of Norfolk, VA, and Rhiannon Layne Deichler of Kansas City, KS.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
