Funeral services for Karen Sue Dees will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Capps officiating, and burial following in the Shoat Springs Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Karen Sue passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, in Hugo, OK at the age of 46.
Karen Sue Dees was born May 2, 1965 in Hugo, OK, the daughter of James Michael and Hyletha (McGhee) Weber Myers. She was a homemaker and had lived in this area for most of her life. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents Eunice and Leslie McGhee and Ethelene and Walter “Bugs” Pharis.
Karen is survived by two sons, Nathan Bennett and wife of Renauta of Hugo, OK and Jay Cox Jr. and wife, Candace of Searcy, AR; one daughter, Lacy Reeves and husband Lance of Hugo, OK; four grandchildren; Wyley Bennett, Ariel Cox, Jay Cox III and Jade Onyx Reeves; one aunt, Barbara “Bobbie” ( Pharis) Stone of Hugo, OK, two uncles, Walter “Sam” Pharis Jr. of Sawyer, OK and Danny Stone of Mesquite, TX; special friend, Roy Golden of Hugo, OK and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel. Family and friends are also invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.praterlampton.com.
