Graveside services for Weldon Lofton fondly known as “Red”¯ will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Sawyer Cemetery in Sawyer, OK with Rev. Edgar Babcock officiating.
Weldon passed away Monday, December 19, 2011, in Dallas, TX at the age of 56. Weldon Freeman Lofton was born October 20, 1955, in Ft. Worth, TX, the son of George Henry and Marjorie (Stewart) Lofton. He was of the Baptist faith and lived in this area for the past seven years after moving here from the Arlinton & Ft. Worth, TX area. Weldon was a mechanic by trade and loved to work on lawn mowers and anything else he could fix. He loved to play video and Nintendo games and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Lofton.
Red is survived by his mother and step-dad, Marjorie and Willie Pulliam; brothers, Tommy Lofton of Idabel, OK, Wesley “Ricky”¯ Lofton of Sawyer, OK and Roy Lofton of Cushing, OK; sister, Margaret Lee Ann Miller of Tulsa, OK; uncle, Harvey Flowers of Idabel, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
