Funeral services for David James will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Boswell Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Witt and Rev. Dean Young officiating and burial following in the Restland Cemetery.
David passed away Friday, October 22, 2010, in Boswell, OK, at the age of 54. David James was born March 7, 1956, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the son of Bill and Willie Jo (Malone) James. He had lived in the Boswell area most of his life moving back at 18 from Borger, TX. He worked for GM in Arlington, TX for 10 years and then worked for himself as a truck driver. In 2000 he became owner and operator of Country Spot Bar in Boswell, it had been said that David ran a clean bar.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack & Bea Malone, Dave & Nettie James; one uncle, Charles Malone; one aunt, Fern Bichsel.
David is survived by his parents, Bill & Willie Jo James of Boswell, OK; one step-son, Tracy Stonebarger of Boswell, OK; two step-grandchildren, Mallori & Hayden Stonebarger of Boswell, OK; one sister, Tonya Dawson and husband Jamie of Boswell, OK; one nephew, Correy Dawson and wife Stormie of Ft. Towson, OK; one neice, Chasity Roberson and husband Kevin of Boswell, OK; great neices and nephews, Jilyn, Makenna, Kolyn, Makyah; special friend, Kelley O'Dell of Boswell, OK; many aunts and uncles; numerous family and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
