Funeral services for Donald Cheek will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Victory Life Church in Boswell, OK. with Pastor Jerry Vickers officiating and burial following in the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK. Donald passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 81.

Donald was born on November 9, 1933 in Boswell, OK to Tom and Pearl (Pendergraff) Cheek.

He married Ramona Selby on November 24, 1954 in Bokchito, OK. Donald served his country in the United States Army in Hawaii. He spent most of his life working in Swisher County, West TX from 1959 to 1998 as a cotton farmer. His family has many fond memories of his contrary nature and keen sense for crop perfection. The essence of Donald’s life was the pride and joy in working the land with his two hands with those he loved most dearly. The family moved back home to Boswell in 1998 and have enjoyed cattle ranching, large gardens, golf cart adventures, and fishing under Donald’s direction.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Pearl Cheek; son: Ricky Don Cheek; twin brother: Arnold Cheek; sister: Mary Marie Riggs.

Donald is survived by his wife: Ramona Cheek of the home; one daughter: Gail Pennington of Boswell, OK; two sons: Kevin Cheek of Boswell, OK and Brandon Cheek of Skellytown, TX; granddaughter: Kelsey Cheek; six grandsons: Brad West, Mike West, Zachary West, Kolby Cheek, Braiden Cheek and Haiden Cheek; two great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; one sister: Sue Cheek; three nieces; one nephew; numerous relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Victory Life Church in Boswell, OK
