Alveta Loraine Bonds was born May 14, 1924, in Bennington, to Albert Henry and Ollie Mae (Green) Selby. She passed from this life November 10, 2013, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
Alveta married John Warren Bonds March 1, 1941 in Boswell, Oklahoma. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Soper Baptist Church. She loved her family very much.
Alveta was preceded in death by her husband: John Bonds; parents: Albert and Ollie Selby; son: Patrick Bonds; brothers: Archie Selby, Edward Selby, Jack Selby, Cortez Selby, and James Selby; sister: Mae Selby Harris; one son-in-law: Charles (Buck) Knight.
She is survived by son: Mike Bonds and wife Yolanda of Soper, OK; daughters: Donna Barnes and husband Robert of Antlers, OK, Charlotte Marsh and husband Bob of Soper, OK, Terry Knight of Boswell, OK and Linda Walsh and husband Jim of Taft, CA; grandchildren: Marla Barnes, Bobby Marsh, Connie Marshall, Warren Barnes, Diane Barnes, Janet Childers, Shellia Barnes, Shelly Knight, Misty Weathers, Toni Barnes, Tammy Creacy, Melissa Wingfield, Denise Adkins, Jimmy Walsh, Dusty Bonds and Charlie Knight; 35 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
